The Hublersburg Inn was built in 1827 and was originally operated as a hotel and stagecoach stop. Our renovations were started in August of 2003, and completed in November of 2005. The exterior was insulated, and siding and windows were replaced. The second floor front porch was enclosed, and made into a four season sitting area. A fireplace was constructed, and a potbelly stove was installed for warmth and comfort. Decorative interior and exterior lights were also added throughout the property.
The interior of the Inn was scrubbed, painted, patched, rewired, replumbed, and air-conditioned for our patrons. Three new bathrooms were added to our second floor bed and breakfast, and the existing bathroom was refurbished. New carpets were installed throughout the second floor, as well as decorative ceiling fans.
We have tried to close our eyes and recreate what the Inn may have looked like or felt like in it's heyday! Our aim was to capture the interior country ambience of the 18th century, while updating the exterior to today's comfort levels.
The best word to describe us is warm. Our hope is that we have created one-stop shopping for our valued guests; that is to be able to eat, drink, and be merry with a comfortable place to lay your head.
Small special groups merit and receive special attention from the staff of The Hublersburg Inn. Rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, birthdays, civic groups, and special lunches our what we do best! We also offer group rates for our bed and breakfast clientele.
